After 5 years of initial research, trialing, refining and scientifically proving the methodology, an 11 month project incorporated an effective and innovative partnership working with Dr Denise/Ulster University, Royal Irish Academy of Music, Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT), Cork School of Music (CSM) and the Cope Foundation.
The project regarded the creation of inclusive ensembles all using the Conductology methodology, then uniting them as an Inclusive Orchestra. It was carried out, completed and successfully publicly tested to ubiquitous commendations.
Children, young people and adults with disabilities had been marginalised from society for too long. Now however, the success of Conductology creates an opportunity for all educational institutions to participate in encouraging democratic, inclusive creativity and reaching out to the 1 in 7 members of our society for whom the opportunity to develop their artistic essence had been barred for generations.
