Conductology is a solution to the limited access and restrictions that many children and people have to quality music-making.
An original and innovative methodology, Conductology was created, developed, refined and tested allowing EVERYONE the opportunity to participate in music-making. The methodology embeds inclusivity, quality processes and products, ease of use, and creativity. Conductology research has indicated that this new way of learning, creating and performing music enhances communication, language, social, creative thinking, leadership, listening skills, and much, much more.
Conductology Level 1 comprises fun, practical and interactive learning, as well as written assessments, presentations and a 6-hour placement.
The 18-hour programme contains units consisting of:
Gesture systems in music- an overview
Gesture implementation in live composing
Established gesture systems
The role of the conductor in music improvisation
The Level 1 course is for anyone who wants to become part of this world-first methodology. It is for those who want to make a difference in how people, particularly the most vulnerable in society, access, create and play quality music. It is for those who are passionate about inclusion, creativity, advancing education, and changing the lives of the most vulnerable in society.
On initial enrolment to Conductology Level 1, you gain instant access to a private social mediagroup- a managed online platform where you meet and connect with fellow students who are all working towards the same goals. You gain the opportunities to discuss ideas, share progress, celebrate achieving goals, gain advice and support, and share music creations.
Conductology Entry Level is accredited and recognised by Ulster University.
