‘You taught me everything
And everything you’ve given me
I always keep it inside
You’re the driving force in my life, yeah
There isn’t anything
Or anyone I can be
And it just wouldn’t feel right
If I didn’t have you by my side’
~Boyz II Men
A very special memory I have is taking my son with me to see Andre Reiu live in concert in Dublin. The floating melodies, wonderful waltzes and everything colourful turned my boy’s face into an expression of awe and wonderment. Sitting beside me, Daniel’s 7-year-old hand squeezed mine in excitement and gratitude. Since Daniel was a baby, our home was consistently filled with music. Every evening, as we would commence down time, we would put on our ‘sleepy’ music. Gentle, slow tempo classical music. It was routine. It worked and we loved it. Before making our trip to Dublin, I showed Daniel some video clips of Andre Reiu. At first he laughed at the elaborate costumes and Andre’s shoulder length groomed hair. Then, he listened. His little face told of the pleasure he got from this music. Seeing the musicians playing their orchestral instruments so brilliantly and with such enthusiasm got Daniel so excited. We experienced that together. The two of us. Mother and son.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to create a course?
